Matthew J. Brister, Director
Mr. Brister has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Calgary and
is a registered Professional Geologist in the Province of Alberta. Mr. Brister was
the President and Chief Executive Officer of predecessor Storm companies from November
1998 until June 2004. From May 1987 to July 1998, Mr. Brister was employed by Pinnacle
Resources Ltd. (“Pinnacle”) in positions of increasing responsibility and, from January
1994 to July 1998, was President and Chief Executive Officer. Pinnacle was a publicly
traded oil and gas company prior to its acquisition by Renaissance Energy Ltd. in July
1998. Mr. Brister is or has been a director of various other publicly traded entities.
John A. Brussa, Director
Mr. Brussa has been a partner of Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP since 1987 and is
presently the head of its tax department. Mr. Brussa received a Bachelor of
Law degree from the University of Windsor in 1981 and currently serves as a
director of a number of publicly listed resource corporations, a mutual fund
trust and several non-profit or charitable organizations.
P. Grant Wierzba, Director
Mr. Wierzba has a Bachelor of Sciences in Engineering from the University of Alberta and is a registered professional engineer in the Province of Alberta. Mr. Wierzba was Vice President Operations and Chief Operating Officer of Storm Energy Ltd. from August 2002 until June 2003 and from November 1998 until August 2002 he held the same position at Storm Energy Inc. From March 1996 until July 1998, Mr Wierzba was employed by Pinnacle Resources Ltd. in positions of increasing responsibility, the last being Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and was also a director of the company. From 1980 until February 1996 Mr. Wierzba was employed by Renaissance Energy Ltd. in positions of increasing responsibility, his final role being Senior Vice President, Operations.
Mark Butler, Director
Mr. Butler holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Saskatchewan and
a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Calgary. Mr. Butler
is a business consultant specializing in the commercialization of early stage
technologies. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer for Alterna Technologies
Group Inc., subsequently Storm Exploration Inc. Prior to that position, Mr. Butler
was General Counsel and Vice President, Commercial Transactions at Alterna with
responsibility for product licensing and intellectual property management. He has
significant experience in private equity funding and has led and managed a number of
acquisition and divestiture transactions.
James K. Wilson, Director
Mr. Wilson obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1976 and a Chartered Accountant designation in 1979. He has over 28 years of finance and administration experience in the domestic and international oil and gas industry. He is currently Vice President, Finance and Chief Executive Officer for Grizzly Resources Ltd. and a director of three public junior oil and gas companies. Prior to joining Grizzly Resources Ltd. in September 2004, Mr. Wilson had held executive financial positions in Canadian public, junior and intermediate oil and gas exploration and production companies including Archean Energy Ltd., Precambrian Shield Resources, Mark Resources, Chauvco Resources/Chauvco Resources International, Maxx Petroleum and Grey Wolf Exploration. His functional responsibilities have included finance, treasury, tax planning and structuring, strategic planning, risk management, accounting, investor relations, human resources, information systems and administration activities. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in acquisition and divestiture negotiation and structuring. Mr. Wilson maintains memberships in the Institute of Corporate Directors, Financial Executives International of Canada, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and Canadian Petroleum Tax Society.

Henry R. Lawrie Mr. Lawrie, a long time director, Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Reserves Committee, passed away in November 2009. During his tenure he provided invaluable guidance and advice to both management and the Board and the committees on which he served. Mr. Lawrie served the shareholders of the company well and his contributions will not easily be replaced.
